|
For a Communications/Entertainment Corporation.
This individual will be responsible for the following:
Preparation of supporting workpapers for preparation of 5471’s, and related forms and disclosures.
• Preparation and analysis of ‘tax trial balance.
• Monitoring of withholding tax compliance and local operating company and Latin American levels.
• Coordination of transfer pricing documentation requirements.
• Review of foreign tax returns.
International Tax Planning: Participation in highly sophisticated international tax practice with an emphasis on transactional planning (i.e., M&A and corporate restructuring) including:
Implementation and prioritization of proactive international tax planning strategies.
• Research and preparation of technical international tax planning memoranda and illustrative diagrams.
• Advise Tax Director of tax implications of significant corporate initiatives.
• Participation in “client care” visits at the operating companies to discuss on-going tax planning and compliance projects, as well as provide an open forum to discuss proactive issue identification and resolution.
Contract Review: Review of corporate documents, including contracts, in order to integrate international tax planning concepts and tax specific language.
Qualifications include:
• Bachelor of Arts in Business, Accounting required.
• MST, MBA, JD or CPA preferred.
• 2-4 Years experience in Accounting Firm, Corporation, LLC (Partnership), or Investment Banking preferred.
• 25-50% travel required.
